Timed Cones

based on optimum time

1 point for each second above or below optimum time 5 penalties for dislodging one or more balls of a pair of cones or a multiple. 

Each competitor will be allowed 2 runs.

Progressive Obstacles

To be driven at the trot over a course of six numbered obstacles which will be adjusted to the following clearances: #1 - 20” (50 cm), #2 - 16” (40cm), #3 - 12” (30cm), #4 - 8” (20 cm), #5 - 4” (10 cm), #6 - 2” (5 cm). 

After passing the starting line, the entry will proceed through each obstacle, in order, until finishing the course or dislodging an obstacle. 

Scoring: 

Two points given for each set of cones cleared. No points given for dislodged obstacle. 

Placings determined on a high point basis.  Entries with accumulated points and no recorded time are placed after those with equal points and recorded times. 

PENALTIES IN PROGRESSIVE OBSTACLES 

Dislodging an obstacle

Break in gait (to canter or walk)

Disobedience

Groom(s) dismounting.

If time allows can be driven twice.

 

Rainbow Barrels: 

9 barrels of different colours are placed around the ring. Each barrel will have a cone beside it. 

Before starting 3 coloured cards are pulled from the stack and called out to the driver. The driver muss drive between the matching coloured barrel and the cone, in the order called and then return to the finish line.

Fastest time wins. Dislodging a ball 5 second penalty. Off course elimination.

If time allows can be driven twice.
